For 17 years, Engine 151 has sat forgotten in a remote spot of the New Market District Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company’s compound. But the company’s first firetruck will soon be drawing stares of admiration again. Firefighters are raising funds to restore the 1955 Ford F750 as a tribute to founding members of the company. Today, May 14, 2024, Frederick County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services High School Work Based Learning Interns graduated.
There were five volunteers who graduated today at the Frederick County Public Safety Training Facility at noon.
